Show Microphone On Keyboard
I downloaded Talk Type Voice Keyboard to my HD10 (I also missed having it like it is on the HDX) but am getting nowhere. If I tap the icon, it takes me to a Set Up screen with a link to ENABLE IN SETTINGS. That takes me to a screen 'How to Enable Talk Type?'

And a SETUP NOW link. I then go to Suggested Keyboards with English (US) highlighted as the default. The back arrow takes me back to the Set Up screen which has not changed from the first time it came up. If, instead of hitting the back arrow from the select keyboards screen, I hit the arrow next to the Show/Hid Keyboards, it takes me to a Keyboard & Language screen. I eventually get back to the complete HD10 settings menu without ever getting the Set Up screen to move beyond step 1. If I go to any app requiring a keyboard entry, there is no microphone icon like I am used to seeing on the HDX.In the HD10 Settings, I can go to Manage All Applications and tap on TalkType but there does not appear to be anything there to enable the app. I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it but still no success.
I recently performed a hard reset on my LG Nexus 4, and something strange happened: after everything restarted and I set my phone up, the microphone icon was gone on my Google Keyboard! I use this all the time to compose quick text messages on the go, or dictate other short snippets of text. It's more convenient than changing my input method to voice typing, as it only requires a single button. I reloaded the Samsung keyboard, and a long press on the smiley face did show the microphone. As far as I'm concerned That is a bad way to do things. As a result, I will continue to use the Google keyboard. At least this thread may help someone else who wants to use the Samsung keyboard. Since yesterday morning's update, the microphone is gone from my keyboard so that I can do 'talk to text'. It has been replaced with a 'settings' wheel instead. In settings, it shows that voice text is enabled, but I cannot get the microphone back.
'Talk to type' dictation disappeared a long time ago. It was definitely gone by the 7th gens. There is an excellent app in the Amazon App Store called TalkType Voice Keyboard but some people have recommended staying away from it, or at least thinking a lot about the risks of using it, since the developer is Baidu, a Chinese company. You might Google Baidu or go to Wikipedia to get more of an idea of what Baidu is in order to make your decision. I uninstalled mine and haven't found anything that comes close to being as good, unfortunately. So I just did some research after realizing there is no mic option on the stock fire hd 10 keyboard. I figured it out though.
If you do a you tube search and install google play onto you’re Fire Hd which is pretty easy. Then download the google app from the google play store.
After that download the google keyboard from the play store. Once the google keyboard app is installed open it and it will prompt you to go to your Fire HD setting and change the default keyboard the the 3rd party google keyboard. Now you will have a full google keyboard with a mic option for talk to text. But you need to download th regular google app from the play store for the keyboards mic to work.
It will also give you additional settings that the fire hd for some reason does not have like long pressing for special Keys’s. Arcade game 2012 free download pc.
