Hollow Knight Abyss Blue Door

Speaking of Knight, the Abyss faction had been far and away the least troublesome of the five Factions. The doors led out into the building's entryway, and there was another door behind them that led to Hornet's office. The windows looked out onto the town. Well she did help in the fight against the Hollow Knight and is even. Hollow Knight - Little bugs on a grand adventure. Got the king soul charm, but I have no idea where to go with the drat thing. I thought maybe that door in the abyss, the one with the blue stone on a dais? But it isn't doing anything for me and I'm out of ideas. You can open that door by having like, 15 of the blue life points. Hollow Knight Grimm x Cursed Witch(reader). He took you back to Dirtmouth. He didn’t want to let you go to the Abyss, yet, but you couldn’t stand still. There were too many things on your mind, and you had to do something. He allowed you to leave and search for the last Dreamer, Herrah. The door at the Temple of the Black.

Classic mode part 6You should now be at 105% progress. Here is a breakdown of the remaining 7%:. Get the second piece of the Kingsoul Charm from the White Palace (1% progress). Complete the Grimm Troupe Questline (2% progress). Enter Godhome and complete the first four Godmaster Pantheons (4% progress)In addition to the 112% completion requirements, you also still need to:.

Purchase Salubra's Blessing (after completing the Kingsoul charm). Get the remaining entries in the Hunter's Journal. Unlock all of the Hunter's Notes in the Hunter's journal to receive the Hunter's Mark. Advance Mr. Mushroom through his seven locations.

Defeat the Hollow Knight in the Temple of the Black Egg to get the basic ending. Turn the Kingsoul Charm to into Void Heart in the Abyss. Defeat the Hollow Knight with the help of Hornet to reach a second ending. Defeat Radiance to reach a third endingWhen all of this is done, you will have earned 54 achievements and completed your first playthrough.Continuing on- have the Stag take you to Hidden Station.

Go left to the Palace Grounds and use the Dream Nail on. You will be taken to another area where you can go right and defeat a Kingsmould to open the entrance to the White Palace. Make your way to the right and you will see flying enemies that you can pogo off of to reach a ledge with a bench. Rest here and modify your charms. This area presents a difficult platforming challenge and little opportunity to regain soul for healing so equip Fragile Heart, Grubsong, Grubberfly's Elegy, and Deep Focus. The two grub charms work together to grant a chunk of soul whenever you take damage and Deep Focus doubles your healing (but halves Focus speed).

When you are ready, head to the right and do some basic platforming to reach an exit to the right.Continue to the right and you will be locked in a room and forced to fight another Kingsmould. Kill it and continue right, then climb up and go back to the left. Hit it, then drop through a weak floor section to the left and make your way left to the previous screen. Jump up to a ledge on the left and ride. Jump to the left over some spikes, climb up to the top, and then exit up to the left. Climb up and you will see two Royal Retainers.

Kill them to add their entry to the Hunter's Journal. At this point, an achievement unlocked.

My Hunter's Journal progress showed as Encountered 150/150. The achievement may not have popped for you if you weren't as diligent as I was in killing enemies. Compare your journal to mine to figure out which entries you are missing, then use to figure out locations for whatever enemies you still need a journal entries for. After completing the White Palace, the next task will be to complete the Hunter's notes by killing the required enemies a certain number of times.Continue to the right and kill some more Royal Retainers, then jump to a central platform on the left and rest at the bench.

The following video will show how to get through the White Palace far better than any written explanation can. I feel that a written explanation of this area is not helpful all as it will basically be 'avoid these saws, jump to this platforms, time your dash to get past these spikes' which doesn't really make this difficult platforming easier. Watch the video to see the path to follow and practice getting past each part. You shouldn't struggle with keeping your health up because of the combination of charms I suggested that you use.Should you need it, the exit to this area can of the first bench. There is a Soul Totem on the level above the exit so you should have full soul to start. Once you reach the end of the White Palace, you will find. Attack him and collect the second half of the Kingsoul, making it whole.

Whenever you rest at a bench, Salubra will show up and fill your soul meter. Now is a good time to finish the entries in the Hunter's Journal. Your progress will be different than mine, so look through your journal and for every enemy that you must 'defeat X more to decipher the Hunter's notes,' seek them out in the world and kill them the required amount of times. Again, use to find locations of each enemy (just search enemies by name to get to their individual pages which show maps marking specific enemy locations). Some enemies will respawn when you leave and re-enter an area but most require resting at a bench to respawn.NOTE: you will need to kill one more Oblobble to decipher the Hunter's notes and you only encounter them as the final boss of the Trial of the Conqueror.

BUT you also will fight two of them in the Pantheon of the Artist which we will have to complete later in the playthrough. If you hold off on this achievement until after you complete the four Pantheons, you won't have to run the Trial of the Conqueror again. Although you may still need more kills of other enemies only found in the trials (like Shielded Fool and Sturdy Fool) depending on how many trial runs you made, so determine your best path to completing the Hunter's notes before continuing.Once you have deciphered the Hunter's notes for each enemy in the journal, return to the Hunter in Greenpath. Go to these marked areas and you will find. Approach the torch and a Grimmkin Novice will appear. These enemies move in such a way to maintain a safe distance from the Knight, then perform one of two attacks: a charge or a shooting a volley of fireballs.

Kill the Grimmkin Novice and the familiar will absorb it. Repeat for the other two flames on the map, then return to Troupe Master Grimm., then mark three more flames on the map- one in king's Pass, one in Resting Grounds, and one in Kingdom's edge. Go to the three marked areas to find burning torches and Grimmkin Masters will appear as you get close. These enemies behave just like Grimmkin Novices except they have more health and a new attack- a spiraling volley of fireballs.

Kill all three Grimmkin Masters and return to Troupe Master Grimm and he will take the familiar away and engage you in battle. Ignore the flame in the Distant Village which marks the location of Brumm, an NPC who's assistance is required in reaching the Banishment achievement. This achievement is in conflict with the Ritual achievement which we will work towards instead. Seek out the flames marked in Fungal Wastes, Ancient Basin, and the Hive.

Approach the torches and Grimmkin Nightmares will appear. These enemies behave just like Grimmkin Masters except they have more health and a new attack- a series of tracking flame pillars. Kill all three Grimmkin Nightmares and return to the Grimm Troupe tent. Go all the way to the right. Strike him with the Dream Nail, then return to the left and a battle with nightmare King Grimm will begin.

Since this is a Dream Boss, there is no penalty for death. Which is good, because this boss is by far the hardest you've faced up to this point.Nightmare King Grimm is very similar to Troupe Master Grimm, but his attacks are considerably faster and hit for two masks of damage. You will then wake up in Dirtmouth. The Grimmchild charm will be fully upgraded and the large Grimm Troupe Tent will be gone. Rest at the bench and equip the Shroom Spore charm. It's time to advance Mr. Mushroom through his seven locations.

We could have worked on this previously as we made our way through the various areas for other tasks but I decided to save it and do all in succession. Find him at each location, hit him with your nail to wake him up, then talk to him and he will advance to his next location.Location 1: Fungal Wastes.

The Hollow Knight has two basic attacks:. a fast dashing stab that covers about half of the arena. a wide arc triple slashJump over both of these attacks and try to pogo and/or counterattack after landing. The fourth Pantheon is locked until the first three are completed. The fifth Pantheon is locked until the fourth is completed. Climb up to the bench above to save and modify charms if needed. The first four Pantheons pit you against 10 bosses with a bench halfway through (to heal and modify charms but progress is not saved).

You must defeat all 10 bosses in a single run to complete the Pantheon. The 10th boss of each Pantheon is a new boss that you did not encounter in the main game.If you drop off to the right you will find an open door on the lower level that leads to an area called the Hall of Gods. As soon as you enter you can interact with a tablet that shows your progress with each boss (blank spots are bosses you haven't fought yet). The Hall contains statues of every boss that you've faced before and you can fight bosses in three different difficulties: Attuned (basic version of the boss), Ascended (the boss deals double damage and has additional health, and there are possible new hazards in the boss arena) and Radiant, which is only unlocked after defeating a boss on Ascended difficulty (the same as Ascended but any damage kills you). The Hall of Gods allows you to practice against bosses to learn their patterns but also gives you the additional challenge of trying to defeat bosses on Ascended or Radiant difficulty.Note that since this is a Dream area, dying in the Hall of Gods or in a Pantheon results in no penalty. When selecting a Pantheon, bindings can be set to give an extra challenge.

These are not required for achievement completion so feel free to ignore them. The Nail binding greatly reduces your nail damage, the Shell binding caps your health at four masks, the Charms binding unequips all of your charms, and the Soul binding caps your soul meter at 1/3. There is a door to the left of the entrance to the Hall of Gods that has 16 nodes around it with larger nodes in positions 8, 12, and 16. These nodes light up for each unique binding that was set for completion of a Pantheon. Once you get the 8th light lit up, the door opens and you can go inside and use the Dream Nail on the blue colored dreamcatcher to add Lifeblood Cocoons to bench areas within the Pantheons. These Lifeblood Cocoons will offer 3 Lifeseeds when the 8th binding light is lit, 4 Lifeseeds when the 12th binding light is lit, and 5 Lifeseeds when all 16 binding lights are lit. I personally didn't bother with bindings at all. With all that said, it's time to tackle where you will face the following bosses.

This Pantheon is very easy and if you struggle at all, head to the Hall of Gods to practice. There is a bench after the 5th boss.

Honestly, none of these early game bosses should give you any trouble at all outside of Oro and Mato and that's just because you've never fought them before. The final battle starts with just Oro; Mato joins in after you deal enough damage to Oro to knock him down. Oro will use three attacks:. a wide horizontal slash followed up with a forward overhead slash- back out of range, then dash in and attack. leap into the air, front flip, then a plunging slash straight down-back out of range, then dash in and attack.

his nail art, which is a charged up dashing slash- jump over as he goes by (try to pogo him in the process)After knocking Oro down, Mato will join the battle. Mato does the same attacks as Oro but his nail art is a charged up cyclone slash (try to pogo off of it and dash away). Things can get pretty hectic with both brothers out together. Try to keep them both on the same side and they should stagger their attacks. When one does a nail art, the other will stand still in a defensive position.

After defeating one brother, the second will continue fighting as normal. Defeat the second to complete the Pantheon and unlock an achievement. Like with the previous Pantheon, nothing here presents any sort of difficulty other than not having encountered Paintmaster Sheo before.

And after you get to Sheo for the first time he becomes available in the Hall of Gods where you can practice him.The Paintmaster Sheo battle isn't difficult at all. He has four attacks that you can anticipate by the color of his paintbrush:. blue paintbrush: overhead slash that releases three arcing globs of blue paint.

red paintbrush: jumping slam that releases five blobs of red paint in downward arcs from the top of his jump. yellow paintbrush: overhead slash that creates a long, horizontal yellow spear of paint. purple paintbrush: charged slam that creates a purple paint column and rains down several purple blobs of paintAfter several hits, Sheo will stagger in a paint explosion leaving you a few seconds to heal. Defeat him to complete the Pantheon and unlock an achievement. This Pantheon ramps up in difficulty from the previous two, particularly Grey Prince Zote, who is slightly more powerful than when you fought him initially, and Great Nailsage Sly who you've never fought before. I suggest practicing Zote in the Hall of Gods before attempting the Pantheon to refamiliarize yourself with his attacks. The Uumu encounter is slightly different in that Quirrel does not help to make the boss temporarily vulnerable; instead, Ooma will occasionally rise from below that can be attacked into Uumu, breaking his membrane and giving you a chance to damage him.

Great Nailsage Sly can be tough until you are comfortable reacting to his attacks, which are fast and frequent. After encountering him for the first time you can practice him in the Hall of Gods. The Great Nailsage Sly battle has two phases. During the first, he will mostly use two attacks:. double overhead slash to rising spin attack- back out of range and counterattack after he lands. leap to downward slam often followed up with a back and forth arcing attack- again, back out of range, then counterattack after he landsHe can also use all three nail arts- great slash, dash slash, and cyclone slash. You can tell they are coming as he must charge them up, generally from the side of the arena.

After dealing enough damage to Sly he will drop his nail and stagger briefly, affording you time to heal. After a few such staggers he will teleport to the center of the area, let out a shriek, and start his second phase. He will dash all around the arena, then appear close by and spin like a saw towards you. Dash out of the way, then counterattack as he stops spinning before he dashes away. This behavior repeats until he is defeated, after which the Pantheon is completed and an achievement will unlock. This Pantheon presents a big ramp in difficulty, as many of these late game bosses are difficult and Pure Vessel, an upgraded version of the Hollow Knight, is by far the hardest boss up to this point. You should practice Lost Kin, Traitor Lord, and Failed Champion so you are comfortable with them.

Hollow Knight Abyss Blue Door Book

It is possible to practice Pure Vessel without having to play through the entire Pantheon just to get destroyed by him in 10 seconds by starting a new save file in Godseeker mode. You will be locked in the Godhome area with all upgrades, charms, and abilities and all bosses will be unlocked in the Hall of Gods (except for Absolute Radiance, the final boss of the fifth Pantheon)., Pure Vessel's statue.Pure Vessel is on another level altogether. All of his attacks deal two masks of damage and he is extremely fast, giving you very little time to react and counterattack. I suggest that you practice him for a while and once you get better at recognizing and reacting to his attacks it will not be nearly as overwhelming as it is initially. Here is a run where I defeat him on Radiant difficulty so you can see my strategy.

Hollow knight abyss blue door book

He starts out using four attacks:. a dashing stab that covers about half of the arena- I try to jump over him and pogo as he goes by. a wide arc triple slash with his nail- I try to again jump over and pogo him, attacking again after landing if possible. shooting a fan of daggers from ether side of the arena- if I see this coming I jump, dash through the daggers, and attack. appear in the air and slam down, creating pillars from the ground- quickly get to a safe gap and counterattack if possibleAfter hitting him a dozen or so times, he will stagger briefly, giving you time to heal.

Once you get him to about 1/2 health he will add an additional attack where he uses focus to summon an expanding orb around him and other smaller orbs throughout the area that you must avoid. At about 1/3 health he add another attack were he lashes out with vertical void tendrils that you must be airborne or far enough away to avoid.

Defeat the Pure Vessel to complete the Pantheon and unlock an achievement. Before leaving Godhome, climb to the top of the Pantheon of the Knight door and to open the way upward to the Pantheon of Hallownest. Climb up the wall to the left and enter the building at the top to find a Hot Spring. It's possible to jump and climb straight up to reach an area that contains, a brutally difficult battle through basically every boss in the game culminating in a fight against Absolute Radiance. Completing this Pantheon is required to unlock an achievement and this will be the last task we complete. Refer to the Pantheon of Hallownest page for further information (note that we cannot even attempt this Pantheon until we obtain the Void Heart charm).Drop down to the right to find an alcove with a bench and a device that you can attack to create a shortcut to the area below.

Once this is done, hold + to returned to the Junk Pit. Do so again to be returned to your Dreamgate in Dirtmouth. Have the Stag take you to Hidden Station. Equip the Kingsoul charm at the nearby bench, then head left into Ancient Basin and drop down to this area of the Abyss. You will now have earned 54/63 achievements and completed the Classic mode playthrough. The remaining 9 achievements are explained in detail on subsequent pages and require completing the following tasks:. Complete the game in Steel Soul mode.

Complete the game with 100% completion in Steel Soul mode. Complete the game in less than 10 hours. Complete the game in less than 5 hours.

Complete the game in less than 20 hours with 100% completion. Leave Zote to die in Greenpath, then go back to find his corpse. Fully upgrade your Nail and kill the Nailsmith. Banish the Grimm Troupe.

Complete the Pantheon of HallownestIt's up to you what you want to do next. While you can complete everything except the Pantheon of Hallownest in a single Steel Soul playthrough, I suggest splitting it up between two more playthroughs: one in Steel Soul mode and one in Classic mode to meet time requirements. It's up to you which you'd rather do first, but I suggest Steel Soul mode to get more familiarity with working through the game so you have more experience for your speedrun. You can try to complete the Pantheon of Hallownest whenever you want (using your existing Classic mode save file), but I suggest saving that for last.

Click to expand.Well, I can imagine the Mantises not killing surrendered enemies since that would be dishonorable. Different story of course if they believed those prisoners committed a crime worthy of capital punishment. The Beetles, maybe yes, maybe no. Though I believe Ogrim wouldn't do anything cruel to the prisoners. The Bees would probably not accept prisoners but it's more because they don't want them near their hive. It's likely the enemies would be simply send away, one way or another. The Spiders.those would-be prisoners better hope they would be simply killed rather than being turned into food or even new 'bodies' for Corpse Creepers.I know it's rather late, but I just stumbled upon and binge-read this fic (good stuff, good stuff indeed!). I'm kind of surprised that the name 'Whole-nest' isn't up there.

Y'know, given the whole unifying deal that's going on. Not too different from the other name either pronunciation wise. Ha-low-nest, Hol-nest. I suppose Allnest is about the same anyways. Also, the siblings are adorable.

I'm sure they'll all grow up into big, strong, warriors just like their brother! Much to the despair of Hornet, no doubt, once you get the antics of the original multiplied far too many times over. This is the next set of things that happen after the things that happened beforealso things are speeding upBEGIN-Time passed like a hurricane; fast, eventful, and easy to get lost in without preparation. Construction continued in bursts, more and more of the Crossroads being rebuilt every time the Bugs had settled into the new routine; within a month, the entire area had been rebuilt and resettled, and the Surface faction was looking to expand into the City of Tears.Notably, Ogrim had almost entirely taken over the expanding guard schedule as time went on, showing a surprising aptitude for leadership. Hornet privately suspected that he was simply honest enough to admit that he had no idea how to balance the finer details, and left that work to his assistant. Of all people, his assistant had turned out to be Iselda, the map saleswoman.Considering that, under the old Knight's leadership and the young woman's plans, they had quite effectively decimated the wild Beast population in the Crossroads - which cleared the way for ongoing reconstruction, as well as keeping morale high among those who were doing the grunt work - Hornet wasn't about to complain that one of her people had apparently decided to come out of retirement.

Especially since Iselda's reports were a lot more coherent than Ogrim. Honestly, the older Bug meant well, but his sheer exuberance was. Best in small doses. Also of note was the fact that, at some point, plans for a school had crossed her desk.

She had examined those in a little more detail, finding that they were more a preemptive reservation to place a schoolhouse just to the south of Queen's Station, and hadn't that been a headscratcher. Hornet was still trying to figure out where those had come from, but no luck yet.Aside from those, and what was quickly becoming her new normal - idiotic things happening every couple of days as the Fools got rowdy, necessitating her either sending one of her more notable people to quiet them down or making a personal appearance to beat them down.Little else of note had gone on with the Surface faction. However, the other factions had become more and more involved as time passed, and thus Hornet's workload increased. The Deep had caused more trouble than any two other factions combined. Constant attempts at rabble-rousing by ambitious but pinheaded Spiders necessitated constant responses, and again Hornet was forced to make her fair share of personal appearances to keep the peace. Fortunately, Ord had proven adept at keeping things under control, and such attempts were slowly decreasing in frequency as the smarter Spiders did their share of the work and began to integrate among the Surface faction.

Attempts at integration with the other three factions had not proceeded yet.Tara and Tula were doing good work cleaning up the Deepnest, getting the resident Beasts under control. Hornet could do without the incredibly unsubtle religious undertones to their reports, and hoped that pacifying the Deep didn't require her to let those two declare her a living Goddess, but their new-formed Sisterhood of the Red Web was an effective peacekeeping force; thus, she let them do as they pleased.Of course, there was always bad news, and the discovery that the Garpedes were going wild without the Infection keeping them in check was a quite thoroughly unwelcome one. It took seriously heavy weapons to kill a Garpede, and their methods of getting around meant they were difficult to even find when they weren't attacking. For the moment, Hornet had ordered that they simply focus efforts on killing the other Beasts that infested Deepnest, and concede ground to the Garpedes; if nothing else, they were very good at exterminating lesser creatures that entered their territory. They'd find a way to take back the areas the Garpedes had infested once things had calmed. She had also ordered the expansion of the Distant Village chamber, sending part of their construction force down there to speed that job.

If the gigant Beasts got too close to that area, it would be best to force them into the open where they were. Less invincible, anyways.Meanwhile, the Bees had been mostly self-sufficient. Bea had assigned a massive guard detail for Lisse, with orders to unquestioningly slaughter anyone who was not Hornet or herself approaching the Queen's Chamber where the newborn Hive Queen was cared for by an only slightly smaller detail of workers, but they still possessed number enough to carry out the same operations they had since the death of Queen Vespa. In fact, they even had some drones left to spare for the construction force - something for which everyone was thankful, seeing as the Bees were the undisputed best at large-scale construction. To be fair, there had been that incident where Knight had tagged along on one of her visits and ended up in a standoff with half the Hive when he got a little too close to the chamber.

She had been honestly surprised that the Bees had willingly forgiven him for that after she intervened on his behalf.Speaking of Knight, the Abyss faction had been far and away the least troublesome of the five Factions. The Mask Maker had begun sending her reports at some point detailing their progress on the creation of a new type of 'Incarnation', based on whatever it was that Knight had reincarnated as. A 'Voidborn'. Apparently, they were getting close to a workable body, but they would need assistance to properly incarnate a Sibling as a Voidborn rather than a Vessel.Hornet wasn't entirely sure she wanted to know how the Mask Maker was testing their iterations of the Voidborn concept, nor what precisely separated a Voidborn and a Vessel, but figured that as long as it didn't involve something like ritual sacrifice, it wasn't her problem.Knight had proven a remarkably skilled peacekeeper among the other four Factions, and the Siblings were integrating well into all of them. Thankfully, everyone had understood not to try their luck at hurting the Siblings again after the incident where a Mantis got too twitchy and took a swing at one of them.Apparently, they still hadn't gotten the stain off of the roof of the Sisters' Chamber. And that brought her to the Mantises. They had started putting reports on her very nice desk at some point in the last week or so, mostly concerning the ever-increasing number of idiots who were stabbing each other.

As stability increases, so does boredom, Hornet supposed. Still, she'd take reports of bar brawls over reports of racial violence; it looked as though the Deep and the Mantises were at least tolerating each other where they overlapped, especially now that things were beginning to settle down and all backstabs had been aimed at her.Nobody had actually expected the Spiders to not backstab anyone, after all. They were Spiders. It was kind of their thing.Hornet frowned at the next document on her extremely nice actual wood desk. This was an internal matter for the Mantises, wasn't it? Why would this come to her?

She had been peripherally aware of the Mantises efficiently (read: brutally) subduing the overactive Shrumal population in the Fungal Wastes over the last week and bringing the entire region back under their control properly, but why would a request for supplies to expand into Fog Canyon go to her incredibly nice wooden desk?Wait, this had been rejected by the Sisters. This was an appeal form? Why would anyone think she had the authority to overrule the Mantis Lords in an internal matter?

Why was the Sisters' Seal on this?Hornet set the paper down on her luxurious wooden desk, a dark look in her eyes.' .those assholes.' -Knight reclined slightly in his chair, casting his eyes around the new meeting room. He wasn't entirely sure why they had moved, though he hadn't protested. Town Hall was a nice central location of current efforts, and made a better place for general gatherings. The room was furnished well enough, a u-shaped table with seats for everyone, three to one side and four to the other.

They were comfortable seats. There was an eighth seat at the center of the table, but nobody sat there for some reason. A carpet, windows. The doors led out into the building's entryway, and there was another door behind them that led to Hornet's office. The windows looked out onto the town.

And it was very well-lit, too.The Voidborn reclined slightly in his seat as the Elderbug and the Mantis Sisters argued about something, looking up at the ceiling - why was it so far away anyways, that didn't really serve any purpose - before turning to look at Ord. 'Self has query.' The old Weaver nodded, looking his way. Bea tilted her head inquisitively from her seat next to the Mantis Sisters.' Self inquires as to present status of Sibling group, designation: Thread.' The Abyss leader stated plainly. Ord chuckled in response.'

Just as when you asked the other day, your Siblings are settling in well. My Weavers report that they are a joy to teach, if perhaps a bit too enthusiastic in applying what they have already managed to learn.' He replied easily.

'And, I must say, it seems that your manners are beginning to come along.' Knight tilted his head, confused. Before he could ask what Ord meant by that, though, the door to Hornet's office crashed open, and the red-cloaked guardian stormed out.' Alright, when did you idiots put me in charge?!'

-Retaking the City of Tears was a quiet-ish affair. Very little still moved in the old city, now that the Husks that had primarily infested it were stilled. The 'reconstruction' effort was mostly concerned with shoring up the old buildings and removing the bodies scattered throughout.Really, the exciting things were what happened next.-'We, who rule the Mantises, do willingly submit to your rule,' the eldest of the Mantis Lords intoned solemnly, bowing in sync with her sisters, 'and place our trust in you.' 'We, who command the Deep, do willingly submit to your rule,' Ord followed, bowing his head and fore knees. Tara and Tula were already prostrate before her, of course.

'and place our trust in you.' 'I, who represent the Surface, do willingly submit to your rule,' the Elderbug continued, bending a knee as far as the old Bug safely could, 'and place my trust in you.' 'I, who represent the Hive, do willingly submit to your rule,' Bea nodded, bowing her head respectfully, 'and place my trust in you.' Knight forced down his usual diction and followed suit.

'I, who represent the Abyss, do willingly submit to your rule,' he carefully stated, genuflecting appropriately, 'and place my trust in you.' The leaders of the Five Factions arrayed before her in the Court of Tears, Hornet closed her eyes for a moment.' This day is not one I thought would come. But now, faced with the reality before me, what can I do but accept your loyalty?' She murmured. Then her eyes snapped open, and she nodded.

Then, by the decision of all who call this kingdom home, I accept my role. From this day forth, I swear my needle to my people's defense, and my Soul to theirs.' 'Then all hail Hornet, Queen of Hallownest!' Chorused the Faction Leaders, their voices echoing across the courtyard.Deafening cheers and applause descended upon them, the assembled Bugs of Hallownest screaming their support to the new Queen, who herself had the faintest red tinge to her expression as she hesitantly waved back. As the Faction Leaders straightened up, her expression turned to business, voice ringing out from her raised section of the stage. Quiet quickly swept through the audience as Hornet spoke.'

Everyone, thank you. Without the hard work of each and every one of us, we would never have gotten this far this fast.' Hornet said, gesturing to the City surrounding them. 'Our future is not comfortable, not yet, but it is bright, and getting brighter every day. Our Kingdom rises from the ashes, strengthened by the bonds that exist between us; our home freed from ruin and stagnation.' She raised her needle, smiling widely. 'And I know, from the bottom of my heart, that we will not stop until we have long eclipsed the old glories!

We will not stop until we have retaken our Nest! We will not stop until we have retaken our home!' Uproarious cheers followed, and she nodded.'

From here on, any who find need of it may address the Council here, in the Blue Court.' She announced, indicating the building behind her with her off hand. 'With that said, this ceremony is concluded; please don't allow this ceremony to interrupt any plans you might have made later in the day. We will be opening session in thirty minutes.

Lowering her arms, Hornet gave a simple smile to the audience.' From the absolute depths of my Soul, I am proud of each and every one of you. I can only hope to repay the trust that you have placed in me. She bowed deeply to the assembled Bugs. And then, as the ovation began to build to a level that would put thunderstorms to shame, she turned to enter the Blue Court, thankful that she hadn't had to give up her wonderful, wonderful desk. And planning swift and terrible vengeance upon the others for subjecting her to this.-ENDOkay. Little bit of a rush job, I think. This is basically the 'Hornet realizes that she got conned into being in charge, then gets crowned' chapter.

I'm not sure how much else I'm going to write of pure Hallownest before the Gate crossover kicks in, it's definitely coming up.and.either I'm too sleepy to remember if there's anything else, or there just isn't anything else. Either way, I'm gonna catch some Z's.Sayonara! I'll examine this more later, but I do believe things are speeding up. Hallownest is coming together again. Things are getting organized, titles are becoming official (Poor Hornet), the city is coming together and the foundations are set and being built upon. The characters are dealing with ordinary things like housing, schooling, and writing reports. There might be some time for internal shock and realizations that yes, this will be normal now, not endless clawing for survival.

The world is settling into a groove. Heck, the characters might even start getting,.le gasp. bored!.Looks at the cart loaded with explosives, gasoline, and matches labeled 'Crossover Start, Author Only' at the top of the nearest hill.Disturbing Grin.Well, we can't have that, now can we? Click to expand.Whilst I am a bit perplexed at the fact that Hornet is being depicted as stronger than she was in the games, I feel that she was the right choice for the ruler. But less because she is the best fighter (she isn't) but because she has a lot of determination, the right lineage and a healthy dose of competence and ambition. While Knight Is THE ABSOLUTE BADASS, (He has Killed GODS) he doesn't strike me as a leader. More like the champion of the people, who follows the crown because he believes in it but his primary loyalty is to the bugs of hallownest.

He reminds me a bit of Alucard From Hellsing Ultimate. The unstoppable force in the basement who will thrash anyone threatening its charges.

Whilst I am a bit perplexed at the fact that Hornet is being depicted as stronger than she was in the games, I feel that she was the right choice for the ruler.
