Visit All Pirate Camps (0/7)With Season 8’s pirate theme, it’s no surprise that the Season 8 challenges involve pirates. The first challenge of the week is to visit the that have been set up around the battle royale map. This will lead players to all of the different biomes, including the jungle, desert, and snow. Fortnite players don’t have to complete this challenge in one match, but it’s possible to do so if they’re quick enough. Search Chests at Retail Row or Junk Junction (0/7)The second challenge for Season 8 Week 1 in Fortnite has players visiting a pair of familiar locations in Junk Junction and Retail Row. Visit A Giant Face in the Desert, Jungle, and the SnowThere are hidden around the battle royale map. One can be found in the new jungle biome near Lazy Lagoon, another can be found in the snow biome near Happy Hamlet, and the third can be found in the desert biome, south of Paradise Palms. Players simply need visit all three faces to complete this challenge, and they don’t have to do it in a single match.
Use A Volcano Vent in Different Matches (0/5)Where Wailing Woods once stood on the battle royale map is now a large volcano. The volcano actually has some loot and a throne hidden inside, and there are special air vents that players can utilize to avoid falling to their death in the lava. Players will need to use the vents in five different matches to complete this particular challenge, so they may want to consider just landing at the volcano at the start of the game until this one is complete.

Get An Elimination With A Shotgun, Assault Rifle, and Explosive WeaponAs the name of this challenge suggests, players need to get an elimination with three different weapon types. Luckily, this challenge may very well help players complete the multi-step “deal damage” challenge, especially the first step that requires players deal damage with both a shotgun and an explosive weapon in a single match.
Deal Damage To A Vehicle Driven By An OpponentAnother self-explanatory challenge, but this one would have been easier if the plane wasn’t vaulted. As of the Season 8 update, so Fortnite players will have to attack enemies that are on quadcrashers or the driftboard. If a new, larger vehicle is added to the game later in the season, this challenge should be much easier to complete.And with that, Fortnite players will have completed all of the Season 8 week 1 challenges.
